The Somatic CEO with Sarah Adele

The Perimenopause truth you're 'not meant' to share

Sarah Adele

Most stories about perimenopause focus on struggle, symptoms and what needs fixing. My story is different. In this episode of The Somatic CEO, I share how I’m moving through perimenopause by listening to my body, trusting what it needs, and letting go of what no longer serves me.

Instead of battling brain fog, anxiety or fatigue, I’ve found that small but intentional choices have made this stage of life feel steady and clear. Letting go of alcohol, prioritising rest, and noticing what I call the unconscious clutch have all changed my experience. This is a real and practical perspective on perimenopause that goes beyond symptoms and struggle. It’s about building a partnership with the body and recognising that this stage of life doesn’t have to be defined only by difficulty.

In this episode, I cover:

  • Why positive perimenopause stories matter and why they’re rarely told
  • The impact of alcohol and sleep on anxiety, brain fog and fatigue
  • What the unconscious clutch is and how it influences your nervous system
  • How treating your body as a partner can change your experience of perimenopause

If you are looking for a new perspective on perimenopause, one that isn’t centred only on symptoms and strugglethis episode is for you.
